Therapy Services

Individual Therapy

DRES offers long-term individual therapy to registered students. Students might seek out therapy for various reasons, but we often support students to manage:

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • New medical and mental health diagnoses
  • Social isolation
  • Social skills
  • Procrastination and time management
  • Identity development
  • Chronic illness
  • Disability identity
  • Stress management
  • Relationship stress
  • Family

DRES therapy is available Monday-Friday during normal business hours. Typically, students meet regularly with their therapist during a scheduled time once a week. Therapy is provided by licensed mental health clinicians and mental health trainees supervised by licensed mental health clinicians. DRES is not able to provide immediate crisis support. If you need immediate support, see the Mental Health Crisis Support page for more information on available resources.

Students interested in joining the therapy waitlist can contact their Access Specialist for information on how to sign up.

Groups

DRES students also have the opportunity to participate in various support groups and group therapy offerings at DRES. Information about groups will be included in the DRES newsletter and on DRES bulletin boards.
