2026 Illinois wheelchair basketball home tournament

The University of Illinois Wheelchair Basketball will play host to 4 Men’s teams and 3 Women’s teams at the ARC February 13-14, 2026. Across the two days, there will be 15 games played in Gym 1 at the ARC (201 E Peabody). We invite you to come and cheer us on and make it the fantastic home environment we know and love!

Where: University of Illinois, Activities and Recreation Center (201 E Peabody Champaign, IL 61820) Gym 1

When: Friday – First game is at 11am and last game is at 7pm. Saturday – First game is at 8am and last game is at 3:45pm.

Cost: Free entrance and no tickets. You just need to mention to the ARC staff that you are there for wheelchair basketball

Big Events: Friday night games (Women at 5pm vs Arizona, and Men at 7pm vs Auburn) are our Pack the House games! We will be doing an ORANGE OUT, so wear your best Illini Orange. At those two games, the world renowned Marching Illini and the Fighting Illini Cheerleaders will be filling the gym with the best sights and sounds any atmosphere can ask for! Saturday, the 1:45pm and 3:45pm games will be our Senior Night games, as we honor our 7 seniors in their final games at home in the orange and blue!

Food Truck: Smith Burger Company will be outside the ARC for our games on Friday. They will be just on the other side of Peabody from 11am-7pm! Get some great food from Smith Burger Co.

Interested in Repping Team Gear?: You can purchase Illinois Wheelchair Athletics gear thanks to our collaboration with Campus Ink. The team store is open until February 24th. There are items for both Wheelchair Basketball and Wheelchair Track. You have the option to ship it to yourself or a pick up option. Season Notes

Your Illini Men hold a 10-7 record, with a 5-3 record against collegiate teams. They are coming off a tournament at Big Cheese, where they posted a 3-1 weekend and winners of their last 2. The men have played 3 of the teams they’ll face at home already this season. They defeated Michigan 90-17 at the UWW Tournament in November. The men lost to Auburn in Alabama 51-38. They have played UWW four times this year, winners of the last 3. Only one of those games counted against their collegiate record when they defeated UWW 66-38 at UWW’s home tournament in November. This is the first opportunity to see CUNY this year. Full Season Schedule

Your Illini Women hold a 8-7 record, with a 2-4 record against collegiate teams. They are coming off a 2-2 tournament at Big Cheese. The women have played all 3 teams this season already. They are 0-2 against Alabama, with both defeats coming at Alabama’s tournament in December. It was there that they also faced UTA twice and fell both times. Their two collegiate wins this season have been against Arizona with both wins coming at the UWW tournament in November with victories of 51-27 and 53-45. Full Season Schedule
