Proctoring of in-person exams with disability-related accommodations is available through the Division of Disability Resources and Educational Services (DRES) in their Testing Accommodations Center (TAC) with the permission of the instructor. Depending upon the student’s disability, testing accommodations may include but not be limited to the use of appropriate extended time, a distraction-reduced environment, computers, assistive technology, and/or adaptive equipment, and in very limited situations where technology is unable to be used, a reader or a scribe.

Reminders:
Please be sure to familiarize yourself with the TAC’s policies from the TAC Website prior to your visit to the TAC.
A few key policies to note are as follows:
- We request that you make your exam reservation one week in advance. If you cannot, then you must make your reservation no later than 8:00 a.m. THREE (3) business days prior to when you are to take the exam. The TAC system will not allow the exam reservations to be made past that deadline.
- Please arrive early (10-15 minutes) to allow enough time prior to your exam for the check in process with a possible wait time while other students are seated. You can begin your exam up to 30 minutes before your scheduled start time.
Please visit the TAC website for more information. If you have questions or concerns, please email the TAC at dres-testing@illinois.edu or call (217) 333-4604. We are happy to be of assistance!
